Weekend Away

We actually got some time away from home this weekend. Saturday morning we got up and headed out to Nicks parents house... the fact that J3 was having allergy issues and puked 4 times on the way there didn't deter us... neither did the fact that it took us 7 hours to get there rather than the average 5 hours... or the fact that 6 people were crammed into a quad cab pick up truck for those 7 pukey hours..
The kids had a glorious time! They loved seeing Grandma and Grandpa and I think they spent about 95% of the time outside running around. The only time spent inside was to bathe and sleep!
The weekend consisted of campfires, eating food from the campfires, hay-less hayrides (LOL), maggot infested dead cow viewings (it was fun... guess you had to be there), drinking until drunk with husband and sister in law ( ok so maybe not drunk but feelin darn good lol)a trip to Wally World for clearance clothes, a trip to an orchard for hot fresh apple cider and caramel apples, and LOTS and LOTS of laughs! The weekend was fun, and we hope to do it again.... hopefully soon... hope those gas proices keep dropping!
So that was the short quick version of the weekend... which began on Saturday morning and ended on Monday evening at 3:30 when we arrived back home ( no school for our town on Columbus day) and was definitely over at 4:00pm when I walked into work at the gas station :)
